Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is seeking a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or an experienced Apprentice to join our Burnaby team at our BC location.

Full-time, on-site position offering competitive hourly wages based on experience, plus extended health benefits, RRSP matching, vacation pay, overtime opportunities, and stable year-round work.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or Apprentice with hands-on experience.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Keep accurate service and maintenance records.
• Work collaboratively with shop staff and the operations team.
