Job summary

Donwood Manor in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Maintenance team. The role requires hands-on work across carpentry, painting, mechanical maintenance and plumbing, with a preference for trade education and a valid driver's license.

You will support preventive maintenance, coordinate tasks, and ensure safe, reliable building systems. Indefinite term, full-time (1.0 EFT), days schedule.

Qualifications

• Skill and experience in a variety of maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, mechanical maintenance, plumbing etc.
• Preference for post-secondary education in a chosen trade
• Proficiency in English for communication and documentation

Responsibilities

• Complete and coordinate maintenance tasks, repairs, and requisitions as directed.
• Maintain tracking tools used by the department for maintenance workflow.
• Complete daily routines and preventive maintenance programs.
• Receive and unpack shipping items; inspect and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain functionality of building systems and support on-call rotations.
• Work collaboratively with all teams.
