Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud in Manitoba is seeking a Maintenance Worker 1 to monitor building and medical equipment and to respond to work orders at Bethesda Regional Health Centre Steinbach, MB. The role requires initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced health-care environment.

The incumbent will perform preventative maintenance, work at multiple facilities, and may require on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a maintenance position.
• Experience with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating or air-conditioning.
• Grade twelve education or equivalent.
• Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building and medical related systems and equipment.
• Respond to demand work orders and perform preventative maintenance.
• Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods.
• Support mission and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
