Job summary

Wolseley Canada Burlington location is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to coordinate HSE programs, ensure compliance with provincial standards, and manage reporting and data analysis. The role supports the HSE Manager and collaborates with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in a similar OH&S role, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint. A bilingual preference is noted. Base salary range is posted with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary education in Health & Safety, Business or related field, or the equivalent work experience within an Occupational Health & Safety Department.
• Experience in a similar role with OH&S responsibilities is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of provincial Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health & Safety and Labour laws.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Manager with coordinating health, safety and environmental initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other HSE documents.
• Coordinate engagement activities and communication to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare HSE content including letters, memos, reports and presentations.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards and ensure compliance across the department.
• Provide administrative support to the HSE Department and manage data reporting.
• Coordinate with suppliers and other departments on expenditures and invoices.
