Job summary

Inflector Environmental Services in Toronto is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to strengthen our Health & Safety Program across the GTA. You will lead safety leadership, policy development, audits, and regulatory communications to foster a proactive safety culture.

The role involves coordinating site visits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and ISO audit activities. 50% field work and 50% office work, requiring strong collaboration with project teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Health & Safety role in construction.
• Knowledge of current OH&S regulations and best practices.
• CRSP/NCSO/NHSA/CSS assets are a strong plus.
• WHMIS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Fall Protection are assets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Inflector's representation on health and safety with clients, provincial bodies, and regulatory agencies.
• Develop and update health & safety policies to align with regulations and industry best practices.
• Direct and supervise regular inspections at projects and sites to ensure adherence to standards.
• Lead hazard assessments on worksites and advise project teams on risk mitigation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Chair the JOHS committee, set agendas, and follow up on actions to promote safety culture.
• Coordinate and manage travel for health and safety oversight to GTA sites.
• Develop and implement a safety documentation strategy using tools like SiteDocs.
• Strategically manage safety resources and PPE procurement and maintenance across locations.
• Lead ISO audit activities for Toronto and oversee WSIB claim processes.
