A Few Good Lads is seeking a hands-on Health and Safety Coordinator to support construction operations across the GTA. The role focuses on promoting safe practices, ensuring policy compliance, and coordinating with project managers, site supervisors and workers.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ health and safety experience, a strong knowledge of Ontario regulations, and current safety certifications. Travel between active sites and outdoor work are required.

Formación

• Postsecondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Construction Safety or a related discipline.
• Two or more years of health and safety experience within construction, civil infrastructure or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation and construction regulations.
• Experience supporting civil, excavation, demolition, shoring, forming or heavy-construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Current Working at Heights and Standard First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to confidently address safety concerns with employees, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Comfortable working outdoors and travelling between active construction sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety-management or inspection systems.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor excavation, trenching, working-at-heights, traffic control, heavy-equipment and material-handling activities.
• Participate in incident, injury and near-miss investigations and prepare complete investigation reports.
• Track corrective actions and follow up to confirm they have been completed.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, training documentation, incident reports and safety statistics.
• Verify that employees and subcontractors have the required training, certifications and personal protective equipment.
• Support emergency-response planning and project-specific safety initiatives.
• Assist with Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development inspections and other regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive safety culture by building strong working relationships with field employees, supervisors and project teams.
• Support the ongoing improvement of RONI Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
