Job summary

WB Melback Corporation in Englehart, Ontario is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment professional with 5+ years of HSE experience to lead site safety and regulatory compliance.

You will support the Health and Safety Manager, develop risk mitigation plans, ensure training and documentation are up to date, and promote a risk-aware culture across our projects. This DSP contract opportunity includes flights, meal allowance and accommodations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HSE experience required.
• HSE certification required.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help keep personnel and contractors safe on sites.
• Ensure workplace is safe, healthy and compliant with regulations.
• Support the Health and Safety Manager and safety program.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks on job sites.
• Maintain documentation and training records as required.
• Assist with safety communications and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Help keep personnel and contractors safe, while keeping our environment safe.
• Ensure our workplace is safe, healthy, and free of risks to the environment and the community.
• Help us build a risk-aware, safety-focused culture that serves our customers and our community with excellence.
• Ensure our company and all of our job sites are in compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Identify and assess risks on our job sites, and develop plans to mitigate and eliminate those risks.
• Provide support to the Health and Safety Manager.
• Knowledge of construction management methods, processes, and best practices.
• Computer experience including Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 Years HSE Experience
• HSE Certification

Shifts

10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)
