Job summary

WB Melback Corporation in Haileybury, Ontario, is seeking a Telehandler Operator to support forestry and mining projects across Canada. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safety compliance: operate equipment per safety regulations and site rules.
• Operate telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials safely.
• Load, unload, and transport materials across the site.
• Assist trades and crews with material placement and logistics.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Coordinate with supervisors for efficient material movement.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and handled safely.
• Support other site-related tasks as required.

WB Melback Corporation is a wholly Canadian owned company with headquarters based in Haileybury, Ontario with job sites all over the country. WB Melback Corporation provides Mechanical Maintenance and Industrial Construction Services to Forestry and Mining sectors across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance: Operating equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and site-specific requirements
• Equipment Operation: Safely operating a telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials
• Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment across site
• Site Support: Assisting trades and site crews with material placement and logistical support
• Inspection & Maintenance: Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting any issues or defects
• Communication: Coordinating with supervisors and site personnel for efficient material movement
• Load Security: Ensuring all loads are properly secured and handled safely
• General Duties: Supporting other site-related tasks as required

Requirements

• Valid telehandler certification (mandatory)
• Valid Skid Steer certification (mandatory)
• Proven experience operating a telehandler in industrial or construction environments
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load handling procedures
• Ability to work in remote and industrial job site environments
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Assets

• Experience in mining, forestry, or heavy industrial construction environments
• Additional heavy equipment certifications
• Bilingualism (English/French)
