Job summary

WB Melback Corporation in Haileybury, Ontario is seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to support mining and forestry sites with safe lifting and material movement.

You will load/unload, assist trades, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety regulations; bilingualism and remote site adaptability are assets.

This hands-on role requires valid telehandler and skid steer certs, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid telehandler certification is required.
• Valid Skid Steer certification is required.
• Proven telehandler experience in industrial or construction settings.
• Strong safety knowledge and load handling procedures.
• Ability to work remotely on industrial sites and as part of a team.
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance: Operate equipment in accordance with safety regulations and site requirements.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operating a telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials.
• Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment across site.
• Site Support: Assisting trades and site crews with material placement and logistical support.
• Inspection & Maintenance: Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting issues.
• Communication: Coordinating with supervisors and site personnel for efficient material movement.
• Load Security: Ensuring all loads are properly secured and handled safely.
• General Duties: Supporting other site-related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

Assets
