Position: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager (Building Group)
The HSE Manager will:
- Lead the development of policies, strategies, standards, internal controls, and technical systems to manage risk and improve HSE performance organization-wide and across all projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an HSE management system that ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and codes at federal, provincial, and local levels for all operations and assets.
- Support incident reporting and investigations, analyze trends, and report findings to Senior Leaders and the VP, HSE.
- Collaborate with Facilities Managers to ensure building operations comply with HSE laws and regulations, including conducting routine audits.
- Create initiatives, programs, and tools to raise awareness and foster a strong safety culture.
- Work with internal teams and business lines to share best practices and innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
- Design effective, operation-focused tools and procedures.
Is this the right role for you?
- Minimum of 5 years of experience related to construction, safety, environmental, or compliance fields.
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- High level of technical expertise with a focus on process improvement while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Leadership qualities and a desire to work in a dynamic, client-focused, result-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Administration.
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
- First Aid Certification.
- Ability to obtain Secret (Level II) Clearance.
- Willingness to work in Cold Lake, Alberta.
