Health & Safety Assurance Specialist, Calgary, AB
In your role as Health & Safety Assurance Specialist, you will provide expert support to ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of MEG’s health & safety programs. Based at the corporate office, this role supports strategic planning and operational execution by leading audits, analyzing HSE performance, and facilitating compliance with standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with business units, operations teams, and senior leadership to strengthen safety culture and risk management practices.
Your Day-to-day Will Include
Analyze safety performance data, identify trends, and provide insights for risk mitigation and improvement.
Monitor adherence to Alberta OHS regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Conduct internal audits and safety inspections, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Support risk assessments and hazard identification to promote proactive safety measures.
Prepare reports on safety performance, audit findings, and compliance status.
Assist in developing and delivering safety training to enhance awareness and understanding.
Work with operational teams on safety improvement initiatives.
Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal teams to foster safety culture.
