Job summary

Interior Health is looking for a Permanent Part Time Health Information Processing Clerk at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent related experience, completion of a Medical Terminology Course, and must pass a typing test.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 5-minute typing test (55+ NWPM) from a recognized institution within the past 48 months.
• Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties related to patient information management.
• Type technical and non-technical materials as needed.
• Conduct quantitative analysis to ensure accuracy of patient records.
• Answer inquiries about patient information according to established policies.
• Assist physicians with patient documentation.
