Job summary

Classic LifeCare in Comox, BC is hiring casual Caregivers / Home Support Workers to join our compassionate home care team. You’ll support seniors with daily tasks, medication reminders, light meal prep, and companionship in a family‑like setting.

We value reliability, a positive attitude, and flexibility for short and long shifts. Preference given to those with a Care Aide certificate and BC Registry Number.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
• Flexible availability for short and long shifts.
• Care Aide certificate and BC Registry Number preferred.
• Positive attitude, punctuality and kindness.
• Reliable vehicle and clean criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and medication reminders.
• Light meal prep and housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments (medical escorts).
• Be a calm, friendly presence.

Pay Rate

HCW: $22 per hour
HCA: $25 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

Every shift may look a little different, but you’ll always be making someone’s day better. Duties may include:

• Assisting with personal care and medication reminders
• Light meal prep and housekeeping (sometimes it’s just a warm cup of tea and a chat)
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Accompanying clients to appointments (medical escorts)
• Being a calm, friendly presence they can count on

What You Bring to the Role

• Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
• Flexible availability for short and long shifts
• A Care Aide certificate and BC Registry Number (preferred, not mandatory)
• A positive attitude, punctuality, and a genuine kindness
