Job summary

Senior Helpers Richmond is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to provide one-on-one personal care in clients' homes, helping them stay safe and independent. You will be matched to clients based on your area of expertise and care needs, with a focus on dignity and comfort.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation, and collaboration with the care team, with opportunities for professional growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Health Care Assistant program or equivalent recognized training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin and in English for care-team communication and documentation.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Reliable, patient, and respectful of client privacy.
• Willingness to complete required background screening.
• Experience supporting seniors or people living with dementia is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers according to the care plan.
• Provide companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Follow care plans, document visits, and report changes or concerns.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and the care team.
