Senior Helpers Richmond is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver to help clients stay safe and independent, providing one-on-one personal care and following care plans. You will assist with daily living tasks, provide companionship, and support families.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in Cantonese and English, hold current First Aid/CPR, are reliable and patient, and are willing to complete a background check. The role offers growth opportunities and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Health Care Assistant program or equivalent.
• English and Cantonese communication for care-team and documentation.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Reliable, patient, and privacy-respecting.
• Willingness to complete background screening.
• Experience with seniors or dementia is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers per care plan.
• Provide companionship, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Follow care plans, document visits, and report changes.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and the care team.

Job Duties: What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers according to the care plan.
• Provide companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Follow care plans, document visits, and report changes or concerns.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Health Care Assistant program or equivalent recognized training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Cantonese and in English for care-team communication and documentation.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Reliable, patient, and respectful of client privacy.
• Willingness to complete required background screening.
• Experience supporting seniors or people living with dementia is an asset.
