Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is part of the home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide personal care services tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Run errands and shopping
• Assist with medication reminders
• Transport and ambulate clients
• Provide companionship
• Follow care plans
• Document and chart care activities

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (including foreign-trained nurses or nursing students)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray
