Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 for recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month full-time commitment in a long-term care or community setting.

Qualifications to Work as a PSW

• Valid PSW Certificate, RN, RPN, Nursing student with clinical placements, Developmental Support Worker Certificate, or foreign-trained healthcare professional (Nurse).

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle, current CPR Level C, immunization record, vulnerable sector check, and availability to work days or evenings including weekends.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 55 pounds and other physical activities.

Eligibility for PSW ROS

• Complete an Ontario PSW training program meeting 2022 standards, start employment within specified dates, and commit to 12 months of full-time work.
• Previous graduates must have trained as a PSW, not worked in direct care roles in Ontario for the past 12 months, and meet specified employment dates and commitments.
