Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is hiring a Guest Attendant in Oakville, Ontario. You will provide personal care and assistance to residents, helping them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity in a warm, home-like setting.

You will support with daily routines, meals, laundry, and light housekeeping, while following care plans and safety protocols. This role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and teamwork in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services.
• Secondary education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred.
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors' needs.
• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well.

• Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the role
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
