Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Guest Attendant to provide compassionate personal care and support to residents in Ontario. You will assist with daily routines, mobility, meals, and household tasks to help residents live safely and with dignity.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to follow care plans, with alignment to Chartwell's commitment to a warm, home-like environment. Flexible hours and a welcoming team culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services
• Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors' needs
• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the role
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
