Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to support individuals in their homes across Calgary. You will travel between patients, assist with daily living activities, prepare meals, and provide companionship to promote well-being.

The role offers part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, mileage compensation, and education allowances. Ideal candidatesgraduate from Alberta-approved HCA programs, are compassionate, communicate well, and can visit patients in designated

Qualifications

• Graduate from an HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta.
• Willingness to visit patient’s residences within a designated area.
• Experience with personal hygiene care is an asset but not required.
• Experience with seniors or children is an asset.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Criminal Background screening will be required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.
