Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority in Chemainus, BC is seeking a Health Aide (RCA HCA) for long-term care. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, you assist residents with daily living activities while promoting autonomy and comfort.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program such as a Health Aide program or equivalent.
• Registered with the BC Care Aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Under supervision of the registered nurse or designate, supports residents' autonomy and choice.
• Maintains resident safety and reports to the manager as required.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
