Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority invites applications for a Health Aide (RCA HCA) in Qualicum Beach, BC. The role supports residents in long-term care, under RN supervision, focusing on daily living activities and resident autonomy.

Shifts are 1500-2130 / 1500-2200 with rotating days. This temporary PT 0.77 FTE position includes a bilaterally set schedule and anticipated end date Mar. 31 2027, with CRC required for access to vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program such as a Health Aide program or equivalent.
• Registered with the BC Care Aide registry.
• CRC required? (employee will be working with or have access to children or vulnerable adults and requires a Criminal Record Check)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs and maintain optimal functioning.
• Report to the Manager and under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse or designate, assist the resident/client.
• Promote residents' autonomy and choice.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience
