Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Manager, New Project Engineering to lead the Power Operations' New Project Engineering function, providing governance, standards, and technical oversight for renewable generation and energy infrastructure growth.

You will guide project development from concept through handover, mentor a team, and partner with internal teams, consultants, and OEMs to ensure safe, compliant, reliable assets. Occasional travel within Canada and the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Registered P.Eng in Ontario.
• 10+ years in utility-scale power, renewables, or energy infrastructure with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading engineering governance, major capital programs, and enterprise decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Project Engineering and develop engineering standards and requirements for design, construction, testing, and handover of new power projects.
• Ensure technical governance by verifying designs meet Enbridge requirements, standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Represent Power Operations’ interests; lead resolution of engineering risks and evaluate deviations balancing safety, reliability, and lifecycle value.
• Provide engineering leadership during evaluation, due diligence, technology assessments, risk reviews, and investment decisions.
• Lead and develop the New Project Engineering team, fostering safety, accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and excellence.
• Serve as engineering interface across internal teams, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and industry stakeholders.
