Job summary

Daanaa, a Vancouver-based power electronics company, is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the hardware team from concept to production. You will define technical direction, build a high-performing group, and drive reliable, scalable hardware solutions for energy-related applications.

The role requires 8+ years in hardware engineering, strong breadth across analog and power electronics, and proven leadership in fast-growth environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of hardware engineering experience, including leading or managing hardware teams through full product lifecycle.
• Broad technical breadth across analog, digital, power electronics, PCB design, testing, manufacturing, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development from concept through production, ensuring performance, quality, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Plan and manage hardware projects in alignment with cross-functional teams and company goals, proactively managing risks.
• Drive predictable execution by establishing priorities, ownership, milestones, and accountability for engineering deliverables.
• Build and develop a high-performing hardware team through recruiting, mentorship, and career development.
• Establish and continuously improve hardware processes for consistent execution in a high-growth environment.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, analog/digital, PCB design, reliability, and DFM/DFT, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to align technical decisions with customer needs.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and accountability.
