Job summary

Delta-Q Technologies, based in Vancouver, Canada, seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in switched-mode power conversion and battery charging applications. You will lead high-performance power electronic products from concept through production in a collaborative, product-focused environment while guiding teams across NPI, Sustaining, and R&D.

The role requires strong experience with power converter design, digital control, and validation, including PCBs, magnetics,

Qualifications

Education in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on industry experience in power electronics design and development.
Experience with PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and isolated/non-isolated DC-DC converter design.

Responsibilities

Lead power electronics projects from concept through design, validation, certification, and production.
Define requirements with Product Management and cross-functional teams.
Own power converter architecture, topology selection, modeling, and validation.
Design AC-DC PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and DC-DC converter systems.
Develop and optimize digital control algorithms; perform loop stability analysis.
Design and validate magnetics, current sensing, gate drives, protection circuits, and power semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN).
Debug and characterize systems in lab, manufacturing, and field environments.
Lead root-cause analysis and resolve technical issues during development and production.
Support safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor engineers and share knowledge across teams.
