Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Hybrid – Welland, Ontario

Salary: $125,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

As the Head of Finance , you’ll take ownership of all financial operations, reporting directly to the executive team. You’ll lead strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting while also guiding system improvements and supporting key growth initiatives. This is both a strategic and operational leadership role, ideal for someone ready to make a real impact as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in alignment with strategic goals

  • Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to support business growth and long-term planning

  • Evaluate, select, and implement financial systems and tools to increase efficiency and scalability

  • Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and ensure full compliance with Canadian GAAP

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and risk, while providing performance insights and decision support

  • Build and mentor a lean finance team to support operational and strategic needs

  • Act as a trusted advisor on pricing, margin analysis, and capital allocation

  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external partners as needed

What We're Looking For

  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) is required

  • 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role

  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning and systems implementation

  • Strong background in growth-stage or mid-sized companies; manufacturing experience is a bonus

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills

  • Comfortable in a hybrid role based in Welland, Ontario (flexibility provided)
