Marmon Rail Group seeks an Accounting Manager (Canada). This role involves a wide range of accounting tasks, supporting our Rail group and participating in related projects. Reporting directly to the Group Controller, this is a key and visible position within the organization.

Procor Limited manages Canada's largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network nationwide. Our fleet exceeds 30,500 specialized tank and freight cars across various markets.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance activities that support operational and strategic goals. This leadership role oversees the financial close process, enhances internal controls, and provides insights for business decisions. Success is measured by meeting reporting deadlines, maintaining compliance, and contributing to process improvements.

• Salary Range: $119,340 - $132,600 CAD annually

Essential Functions:

• Lead the financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Maintain and review general ledger reconciliations; implement corrective actions.
• Analyze financial results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare financial presentations for leadership reviews.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and business planning activities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with controls and regulations.
• Document financial processes and internal controls; recommend updates.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial reporting.
• Manage inventory count reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Support financial evaluation for business development and acquisitions.
• Provide timely financial analysis and reporting for leadership.
• Perform other duties and projects as needed.

Skills / Qualifications:

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting, analysis, and reporting experience.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience leading end-to-end financial processes in complex environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• High ownership and initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience with internal audits, controls, and compliance (SOX a plus).
