Job summary

Kibbi in the Niagara Falls region is seeking a Head Chef to lead kitchen operations across multiple restaurants, plan menus, ensure quality, and deliver exceptional presentation in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires guiding 5–10 staff, recruiting and training, coordinating with clients for weddings and events, managing supplies, equipment, and repairs, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. On-site work only.

Qualifications

• Secondary education required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a chef/kitchen role.
• On-site work at the physical location; no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• Recruit and hire staff.
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks.
