Job Description

WSP has an opportunity for an entry level Hazardous Materials Data QC role to support an ongoing large-scale asbestos survey program. The focus is on QC data against an established survey methodology as part of the data review/uploading process into a large cloud-based database. The role emphasizes consistency and completeness of data and does not require prior hazmat survey experience. If you have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and are well-versed in maintaining data in spreadsheets and client-specific online applications, this opportunity may be for you.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Review data for consistency with survey methodology and terminology.
  • Review data for completeness.
  • Maintain and update survey data as facility assets change.
  • Serve as a central resource for client and program-specific information.
  • Assist in the preparation and planning of inspection surveys based on data gaps.
  • Coordinate site access for inspection surveys conducted by others.
  • Coordinate sample collection and submission to analytical laboratories, and track results and invoices.
  • Assist in preparing site-specific safety plans using existing templates.
  • Serve as the central check-in for field crews.
What You'll Bring To WSP…
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to technical excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Hazardous Materials Management or Environmental diploma/certificate (asset).
  • Experience in health and safety/hazardous materials/environmental assessments/monitoring (asset).
Compensation:

Salary range (British Columbia): $55,400 - $76,200

The final salary may vary based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs. The salary range may be adjusted for business purposes.
