WSP has an opportunity for an entry-level Hazardous Materials Data QC role to support an ongoing large-scale asbestos survey program. The focus is on QC data against an established survey methodology as part of the data review/upload process into a large cloud-based database. The role emphasizes consistency and completeness of data and does not require prior hazmat survey experience. If you have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience maintaining data in spreadsheets and client-specific online applications, this opportunity may be suitable for you.

What you can expect to do here:Reporting to the Lower Mainland OHS Group Manager and Project Managers, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review data for consistency with survey methodology and terminology.
- Review data for completeness.
- Maintain and update survey data as facility assets change.
- Serve as a central resource for client and program-specific information.
- Assist in the preparation and planning of inspection surveys based on data gaps.
- Coordinate site access for inspection surveys conducted by others.
- Coordinate sample collection, submission to laboratories, and tracking results and invoices.
- Assist in preparing site-specific safety plans using existing templates.
- Serve as the central check-in for field crews.
What You'll Bring To WSP…- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Enthusiasm and commitment to technical excellence.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Hazardous Materials Management or Environmental diploma/certificate is an asset.
- Experience in health and safety/hazardous materials/environmental assessments or monitoring is an asset.
Compensation: Salary range (British Columbia):
$55,400 - $76,200. The final salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs. The range is subject to change for business reasons.
