Job Description

WSP has an opportunity for an entry level Hazardous Materials Data QC role to support an ongoing large-scale asbestos survey program. The focus is on QC data against an established survey methodology as part of data review/upload process into a large cloud-based database. The role emphasizes consistency and completeness of data and does not require prior hazmat survey experience. If you have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience maintaining data in spreadsheets and online applications, this opportunity may be for you.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Review data for consistency with survey methodology and terminology.
  • Ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update survey data as facility assets change.
  • Serve as a resource for client and program-specific information.
  • Assist in planning inspection surveys based on data gaps.
  • Coordinate site access, sample collection, and submission to labs.
  • Track results, invoices, and safety plans.
  • Serve as the central check-in for field crews.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Hazardous Materials Management or Environmental diploma/certificate (asset).
  • Experience in health and safety/environmental assessments (asset).

Compensation:

Salary range (British Columbia): $55,400 - $76,200

Final salary depends on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs. The range may be adjusted for business reasons.
