Job summary

Miller Environmental Corporation in Manitoba is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to monitor and test processing systems, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations. The role is at our processing facility in RM on Montcalm on Hwy 75 & 14, with opportunities to grow within a safety-driven team.

Ideal candidates bring a post-secondary diploma in process operation or chemistry, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb objects.
• TDG or WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar setting.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and receive dangerous goods, manage documentation and inventory.
• Consolidate and bulk industrial and household waste per license and TDG rules.
• Process hazardous waste in line with SOPs and safety protocols.
• Follow startup/shutdown procedures and troubleshoot operations.
• Maintain equipment with preventive plans in coordination with maintenance.
• Sample materials for quality control and record data for SPC.
• Develop procedures for normal operation and plant changes.
• Cross-train across processing buildings and rotate duties.
• Collaborate in a team and participate in training others.
