Job summary

Miller Environmental Corporation in Winnipeg is seeking a dependable Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day office support. You will handle phones, greet visitors, file documents, and coordinate meetings to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires strong communication, excellent organization, and discretion handling confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential; SharePoint, Canva, Webex and Dropbox experience are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative, office support, reception, or clerical experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and courteous approach to employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable preparing documents, maintaining records, entering data, and working with electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team-oriented office environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and willingness to support a variety of administrative tasks as priorities change.
  • Experience with Canva, website updates, social media support, Dropbox, or Webex is considered an asset but is not required.
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle may be required for occasional errands or business-related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line administrative support by answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, and directing information to the appropriate team member.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, scan, file, and maintain documents, correspondence, reports, forms, records, and other office materials.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of meetings, appointments, calendars, room bookings, agendas, and meeting materials as required.
  • Assist with data entry, spreadsheet updates, tracking logs, filing systems, and maintaining accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Provide administrative support to management and department teams, including completing assigned tasks, following up on information, and helping organize day-to-day priorities.
  • Coordinate office supplies, mail, courier shipments, deliveries, and general office organization to support efficient daily operations.
  • Assist with basic marketing and communication tasks such as preparing materials, updating templates, and supporting social media or website updates when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle employee, customer, vendor, and company information with professionalism and discretion.

What you will do
