Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Hamilton, ON is seeking a full-time Facility Operator to support daily operations reporting to the Operations Supervisor. You will handle bulk and consolidate household hazardous waste, perform production reports, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and may have a forklift license or experience with handling chemicals. Transportation to and from the site is required as the facility is bus-route accessible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift license is an asset.
• Experience handling chemicals is an asset.
• Experience in an industrial setting is an asset.
• Must be able to read labels and identify hazard characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Bulk and consolidate household hazardous waste manually or by machine.
• Perform physical labour lifting containers up to 20L.
• Complete production reports and paperwork.
• Participate in company supplied training.
• Work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily production goals.
• Work safely at all times.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
