Job description

Job Title: Harvest Supervisor

As a Harvest Supervisor at Canfor, one of the largest and most well-managed forestry companies globally, you will oversee daily harvesting activities. We are committed to innovation and technology, utilizing cutting-edge systems for tracking, reporting, root cause analysis of safety, quality, cost, and results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise activities related to logging, road construction, maintenance & deactivation, waste assessments, and hazard abatement.
  2. Plan and deliver volume to the Canfor Sawmill and other customers.
  3. Track, report, and analyze safety, quality, cost, and delivery results.
  4. Manage administrative and environmental activities.
  5. Prepare budgets and manage costs within your responsibilities.
  6. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and team projects.
  7. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, forestry legislation, and Canfor’s policies.
  8. Build positive relationships with suppliers, First Nations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry or Natural Resource Management.
  • Knowledge of BC legislation and policies.
  • Experience in forestry work is preferred.
  • Bonus: Registered Professional Forester or FPBC member.
  • Leadership skills and safety-first mindset.
Additional Information:
