Job summary

Cropthorne Farm in Delta, BC is seeking a Farm Supervisor for a one-year maternity leave coverage. The role focuses on day-to-day harvest management and coordinating the farm crew during harvest days.

The successful candidate will oversee field tasks, supervise a ten-person crew, and contribute to post-harvest and hoop-house activities as needed. This is a full-time, contract position with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in supervisory or leadership role.
• Minimum 2 years farm experience; tractor skills a plus.
• Knowledge of vegetable agronomics and organic farming.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, seasonal farm environment.
• Physically able to lift up to 20 kg and work outdoors in all weather.
• Class 5 driver’s license; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily feedback to Farm Managers on field and hoophouse tasks.
• Coordinate daily task lists with Farm Managers and Lead staff.
• Lead and direct crew to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with farm safety and food safety standards.
• Train, supervise, and keep records of farm activities.
