Job Purpose

The Hardware Technician is responsible to provide technical support and maintenance for IT and radio equipment, ensure proper inventory management, and assist with hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and end-user support.

Duties And Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Repair, manage and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Assist in network hardware support including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Configure and manage radios and other related communication systems.
  • Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on all radio equipment.
  • Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on all printer equipment.
  • Support users with troubleshooting and proper radio usage.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT and radio hardware and software assets using asset tracking tools or systems.
  • Track hardware assignments, check-in/check-out processes, and end-of-life replacements.
  • Label and catalog all new equipment and ensure proper documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies.
  • Provide first-level technical support to end users.
  • Assist with system upgrades, hardware rollouts, and project implementations.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain service records.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support/hardware maintenance role.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management systems and inventory tools.
  • Working knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, networking basics, and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, email communications, and presentations effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
