Job description

We are seeking a Hardware Designer to join our team at the Montreal office, located in Saint-Laurent. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for mid-senior level candidates with at least 5 years of hardware design experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform hardware design activities including electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and PCB manufacturing package generation.
  2. Design and test circuits for both analog and digital components, including filters, signal conditioning, optical/capacitive isolation, SMPS, current sensing, and communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART.
  3. Design test stations for product debugging and verification.
  4. Select appropriate components such as chips, passive & active components, and power components.
  5. Plan and execute board bring-up and testing for PCBA.
  6. Prepare manufacturing packages and support the manufacturing process.
  7. Maintain documentation and develop test plans.
  8. Collaborate with the software team on hardware-related tasks.
  9. Investigate and document hardware anomalies and failures.
  10. Stay updated with technological advancements in electronics for future product development.
  11. Document design, functionality, and testing processes.
  12. Adhere to health and safety regulations and meet project deadlines, reporting risks and delays as needed.
