Description

We are seeking a Hardware Designer for our Montreal office, based in Saint-Laurent. The role involves hardware design activities including electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and PCB manufacturing package generation.

Responsibilities
  • Design and test analog and digital circuits (filter design, signal conditioning, optical/capacitive isolation, SMPS, current sensing, communication interfaces, microcontrollers, etc.)
  • Work with various communication protocols and physical layers (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
  • Design test stations for product debugging and verification
  • Select appropriate components (chips, passive & active components, power components, etc.)
  • Plan and execute board bring-up and testing for PCBA
  • Prepare PCBA manufacturing packages and support manufacturers
  • Maintain documentation and develop test plans
  • Support hardware-related tasks for the software development team
  • Investigate and document hardware anomalies and failures
  • Stay updated with recent technological advancements in electronics for future product development
  • Document design, functionality, and testing procedures
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations (personal and equipment)
  • Meet scheduled deadlines, report risks, problems, and delays to the supervisor
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hardware design experience
