Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Flight Test Engineer / Test Director, Bomber Programs to support our Edwards AFB location in Lancaster, CA. This position can be hired as Full-time or Part-time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Test Director during flight test mission execution, including pre-mission planning and post-mission reporting.
• Develop and review test plans, test cards, and safety plans.
• Coordinate resources and oversee test execution across engineering disciplines and external agencies.
• Lead test mission briefings and supervise test execution.
• Complete post-test reporting.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in planning, executing, and managing flight tests.
• Proven leadership and professionalism in flight test environments.
• Ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Experience with post-flight reports and formal documentation.
• Willingness to adapt roles as needed.

Desired:

• Experience with developmental and operational flight testing.
• Background in testing fighter or bomber aircraft, avionics, weapons, or sensors.
• Experience with electronic warfare and RF/IR countermeasures.
• Previous aircrew experience or pilot certification is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required.

Clearance

Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required; Secret clearance may suffice initially.

Travel

Approximately 10% travel required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
