Job summary

Events by Point Group Hospitality is seeking a hands-on Warehouse/Operations Assistant in Powell River. The role is casual with flexible schedule, requiring driving, lifting up to 50 lbs, and basic tools knowledge.

You will organize warehouses, manage inventory, assist with event setups and deliveries, and perform light maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable with physical work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; comfortable driving rental vehicles, including U-Haul.
• Able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Basic knowledge of tools and minor repairs/maintenance
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work independently and manage tasks without constant direction
• Reliable, efficient and self-motivated
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Warehouse, inventory, maintenance, delivery or similar hands-on experience is an asset
• Flexible availability is an asset

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas
• Receive deliveries and properly store incoming inventory
• Manage event rental inventory, including checking, counting and organizing returned items
• Load, unload and move equipment, supplies and rentals
• Assist with pickups and deliveries
• Complete basic maintenance and handy-person tasks, such as installing shelving and minor repairs
• Keep warehouse spaces clean, organized and functional
• Identify and implement more efficient storage and organization solutions
• Assist with event setup, takedown and transportation as needed
• Support other operational projects as required
• Hands-on, jack-of-all-trades role in warehouse, events and general operations
