Job summary

LIFT - Community Services is seeking laborers to help open and operate the new RV Park in Powell River. This on-call, part-time role involves outdoor tasks such as weed-wacking, mowing, and site clean-up, with potential for longer-term park maintenance.

Candidates should be ready to learn in a transitioning environment and will need to provide government photo ID and have their own transportation. Local applicants preferred; no travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Current government-issued photo ID required.
• Must have own transportation.
• Local to Powell River preferred; travel not offered.

Responsibilities

• Weed-wacking and lawn mowing.
• Removing rubbish and hand digging small trenches.
• Work outdoors around moving equipment and be aware of surroundings.
• There may be longer-term work in lawn care and park upkeep.

• We need labourers to help us get our RV Park open! Check out what we’re doing at www.pinetreecommunity.ca. Westcoast Endeavours ULC is interested in hiring labourers, as employees, on a temporary basis to get the RV Park open and operational.
• The ideal candidate would be hard-working, have a great attitude, be willing to learn in this transitioning environment, helping to welcome the first guests and longer-term residents of the park.
• You will be asked for current government picture ID as part of the hiring process.
• You must have your own transportation.
• Folks local to Powell River are ideal; no travel is offered for this position.

• We need help with weed-wacking, lawn mowing, removing rubbish, and hand digging small trenches.
• Must be able to work outside, work around moving equipment, and be spatially aware of your surroundings.
• The ability to safely use powered and non-powered hand tools is a bonus.
• There is a potential for longer term work, which may include lawn mowing, flower bed tending, and general eyes-and-ears at the Park.
