Job summary

The Drake Hotel Properties in Toronto is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day building operations across the Classic and Modern Wings. This hands-on role combines supervisory duties with practical repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety systems, while ensuring guest and employee experiences stay seamless.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate vendors, and work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and Food & Beverage to schedule

Qualifications

• Five+ years in hotel engineering, facilities or building maintenance with leadership experience.
• Broad hands-on ability across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers and life-safety systems.
• Experience in a hotel or mixed-use property with hospitality standards.
• Strong communication with technicians, teams and senior leaders.
• Knowledge of Ontario health and safety and WHMIS is asset.
• Flexibility for after-hours, weekends and emergencies.
• Valid Ontario driver's license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for Classic and Modern Wings.
• Perform and supervise preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Source quotes, schedule vendors and coordinate capital work.
• Prioritize work and brief hotel leadership on risks and next steps.
• Maintain records and support budget tracking.
• Ensure safety and hospitality standards during repairs.
