Job summary

Larga Baffin Ltd. seeks a seasoned Finance Manager to lead finance and accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and strong controls. You will oversee month-end close, budgeting, payroll, and compliance across departments, partnering with HR and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on management with strategic financial guidance, excels in communication, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced Inuit organization environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Hospitality or related field.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience managing accounting staff and payroll oversight.
• Knowledge of Inuit culture is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for Larga Baffin.
• Review work by A/R team; maintain high standards for AP, AR, reconciliations.
• Develop and continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Review budgeting for next fiscal year with President and GM.
• Manage payroll oversight and multi-department cost allocations.
