Job summary

Larga Baffin is seeking a Finance Manager to lead all financial and accounting functions from Ottawa, reporting to the General Manager. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls while guiding strategic financial decisions across the organization.

The position blends accounting management, budgeting, payroll oversight, compliance, and internal controls, with hands-on leadership and collaboration with HR to support operations and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Hospitality and or related field.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Payroll oversight experience.
• Proven leadership with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent people skills and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for Larga Baffin.
• Review AR/AP, reconciliations, and bookkeeping across the organization.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks.
• Assist with budgeting for the next fiscal year.
• Oversee payroll, tax remittances, and year-end activities with external firm.
• Manage banking, budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Lead a finance team and collaborate with HR on staff matters.
