Qualifications

Job description

Perform microscopic deburring under high magnification. Deburr/finish aerospace components to rigorous design specifications. Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and skill in hand-finishing techniques. Perform detailed inspections of finished parts to ensure quality standards. Use precision tools and techniques to achieve high-quality finishes. Interpret design drawings and GD&T requirements. Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment. Adhere to manufacturing systems and procedures, ensuring safety for yourself and others.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with machine shop personnel to optimize deburring/finishing processes.
  • Maintain work areas and tools in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist in training and mentoring lower-level finishers.
  • Follow all safety and environmental regulations and practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in a finishing role within a high technology environment, preferably in aerospace.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hand finishing techniques.
Additional Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and AS9100 requirements is an advantage.
Working Conditions
  • This position may require standing, sitting for extended periods, using microscope, lifting materials and regular exposure to hand tools and finishing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts as needed.
