Job summary

AECOM in Halifax, NS seeks an Environmental Technical Lead to guide site assessment and remediation projects across energy, mining, industrial, municipal, provincial, and federal sectors. The role offers leadership of technical direction and a strong client liaison focus.

You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance with CCME and Atlantic RBCA guidelines, and deliver high‑quality reports while maintaining safety and excellence in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science.
• P.Eng designation in Nova Scotia or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental remediation or reclamation.
• Proven technical oversight on contaminated site projects.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and sets technical direction for environmental assessments and remediation projects.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring strong relationships and high client satisfaction.
• Oversee project technical performance, guiding technical decisions and developing team members.
• Communicate risks, challenges and recommendations to regulators, clients, and internal teams.
• Provide senior review on technical reports and regulatory submittals.
