Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Geological Engineering, is a licensed P.Eng., and has 10+ years in assessment, remediation, or compliance within consulting.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is required.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental assessment, remediation, or compliance within consulting or related industries.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, contaminated site management, and field investigation methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects including ESAs, remediation design and implementation, and monitoring programs.
• Oversee field investigations and sampling for soil, groundwater, surface water, and aggregates.
• Prepare and review technical reports, data summaries, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
• Lead environmental compliance and permitting activities with municipal, provincial, and federal agencies.
• Provide mentorship to junior/intermediate team members.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders for project success.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, scope definition, and client relationships.
• Ensure adherence to environmental standards, regulations, and corporate quality/safety systems.
