Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Intermediate Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Western Canada Environment team in Edmonton. The role blends project management, technical oversight, client liaison and staff mentoring, with hybrid work options and a strong emphasis on northern remediation and waste management projects.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in project management, a relevant engineering degree, strong technical writing skills, and a P.Eng/NAPEG-APEGA license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related project management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental engineering or similar
• Proficient technical writing experience for detailed design reports and regulatory submissions
• Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and/or NAPEG
• Valid driver’s license; travel within Canada likely
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; Excel and Word knowledge

Responsibilities

• Engineering Design: develop civil grading, site remediation and solid waste designs; design in AutoCAD Civil 3D; prepare technical letters, reports and design packages; draft project specifications and cost estimates; prepare regulatory submittals.
• Project Management: manage scope, schedule and cost; write proposals and project plans; collaborate in a team to meet timelines and quality requirements; demonstrate safety leadership.
• Supervisory duties: coordinate with junior and intermediate staff on client, sub-contractor and sub-consultant communications and management.
