Bass Pro Shops in Nanaimo, BC is hiring a Gun Counter Outfitter to safely handle firearms and uphold provincial, federal, and company regulations while delivering legendary customer service.

You will greet shoppers, assess needs, recommend products such as firearms, scopes, and outdoor gear, and help with in-store programs and Pick-Up services, while maintaining visual standards and assisting the team as needed.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions and identifying their needs.
• Knowledge of firearms, scopes, and related hunting gear; recommend products accordingly.
• Promote Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s programs, including In-store surveys and In-Store Pick-Up.
• Maintain visual presentation standards: signage, front-facing merchandise, restocking, and remerchandising as needed.
• Respond to customer issues with good judgment and clear decision-making.
• Demonstrate passion for the outdoors and stay knowledgeable on trends and technology.
• Assist in other store areas when business needs dictate.
